A Stoll Family Christmas
As you can probably imagine, Christmas is a busy time for the hearth industry. This time of year brings more orders, extra work and additional projects. It also brings sweet joy as we love celebrating the season together.
In spite of all the busyness, we always take the time to remember our faith and what Christmas is really about. “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.” Luke 2:14
If we ever needed peace in the world, it's now. You don't have to look far to see and feel the lack of peace around us. Here at Stoll, we are reminded of the words of a song:
Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now.
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow.
To take each moment
And live each moment
With peace eternally.
Let there be peace on earth,
And let it begin with me
--Let There Be Peace On Earth Lyrics I MetroLyrics
In spite of the busy season, Christmas is also a time we connect with family and friends through festive decorations, banquets and spending time around the fire. Our annual banquet is a time to gather together, fellowship and celebrate those employees who have reached a years of service milestone at Stoll.
Another tradition we have here at Stoll is the Christmas corn hole tournament that happens the last Friday before Christmas vacation. Everyone arrives with a festive spirit and cleans their work station one last time for the year. Then we enjoy a corn hole tournament between the whole company. Everyone gets involved and the winning team takes home bragging rights for the entire year. We hear the Newton brothers are the team to beat this year. After corn hole, we enjoy pizza together and Mrs. Susan Stoll's famous chocolates.
As the days wind down before Christmas and the hustle and bustle increases, may you find the sweet peace the angels declared to be yours.
Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
