Meet the Craftswoman: Susan Stoll

Everyone who is connected with Stoll Industries loves Christmas time because it is the season of the boxes of homemade chocolates. From our own employees to our reps and dealers, the freshly handcrafted boxes of chocolates that are given out around Christmas and at the winter show are a huge hit. Since they are such a seasonal highlight, we wanted to take a minute and introduce you to the lady behind the scenes.

Susan Stoll is the lady responsible for the boxes of chocolate. Susan is the wife of Marvin Stoll, the younger brother of Dennis and Robert Stoll. Marvin and Susan have been married for 33 years and have four daughters. Every year the chocolates are made in their home, hand-dipped and carefully crafted to reflect the warmth and excitement of the Christmas season.

The chocolates were originally started by the wives of the Stoll men in the late 1980s as a way to say thank you to all of the people who had helped to establish and encourage the second generation of Stoll leadership. Because of the expansive growth of Stoll Industries, Susan now enlists the help of her daughters and a few of her local friends to help make the chocolate candies.

This year’s assortment of chocolate candies is made up of 20 different types of candy including truffles, heath bars, caramels, crackles, chocolate covered pretzels and many more. In two days, Susan and her girls made 5 different flavors of truffles totaling to 3,830 individual pieces of candy. Before it’s all said and done, they will spend at least 6 days on truffles alone.

Christmas is certainly a special time of year and we love getting to share a special treat with the people who are important to our company. We are incredibly grateful for our dealers, reps, employees, and all who play a role in building up and making the Stoll company the amazing group of people that it is. We love to share our chocolates with the dealers as they stop by our show booth and the excitement of our own employees as they see the chocolates come in the door of the plant is priceless.

We want to send a huge thank you to Susan Stoll for all she does for our company. The continual support and hard work she has given to Stoll Industries is truly special.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very happy holiday season!
